Dave is the Director of Development at Trailbreak Partners and is responsible for sourcing acquisitions, financial analysis, pre-acquisition due diligence, and execution of new development projects. Dave is skilled in managing successful entitlements and overseeing design and construction to maximize building performance and project financial returns. He comes to each project with a creative and collaborative approach. Dave also brings to Trailbreak Partners specialized experience in brownfield redevelopment and sustainable development.

Prior to joining Trailbreak Partners, Dave worked as Director of Development for The W.W. Reynolds Companies and Morgan Creek Ventures in Boulder, Colorado. In those roles, he was responsible for analysis of acquisitions, due diligence, entitlement and construction for new projects in Boulder including the complete gut-retrofit of the 100,000 square foot Colorado Building and Boulder Commons, an 100,000 square foot Net Zero, mixed-use development in the City of Boulder’s Transit Village.

Dave received his MBA in Real Estate from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business and his undergraduate degree in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Michigan. Dave is an active member of ULI and has served as the co-chair for the Boulder committee. He is married with three children. When Dave isn’t working, you can find him in the gym, on the ski slopes or hanging off of a climbing hold.

Fun fact: Dave was certified to scuba dive at the age of 12.
